IS IT JUST US?

You know, there are somethings in this life which really bite, and for us it's when things break and need to be replaced.
For some unknown reason to us we always seem to have something that breaks down or needs to be replaced straight after we've just replaced something else.
Over the summer we had the loft converted - great! But our heating has not been right since and will take the sale of my kidneys to fix. The carpet that we bought for the hall and stairs only 3 years ago is no longer being sold, so we had to buy a completely new carpet for the whole landing and stairs the whole way up.
Now, within the space of seven days, our washing machine blew up and needs replaced; the headlamp bulb in the Picasso blew and had to be replaced; also in the Picasso, the heater has packed up, unless it's on full blast only which is deafening, so needs to be sorted; and then earlier today, my hand drill blew-up in my hand leaving a loud ringing noise in my ears!
I mean, why on earth can we not get through one month without anything breaking on us???!!!!
Does anyone go through this ritual? We'd like to hear from you if you do!

Apart from the whingeing I had a great lunch and chat today with a friend who works for this organisation - check out this website to see if you can help - http://www.globalhand.org
