Okay, so it may disappear in a few hours, so let's enjoy it while we can. I hope the music choices help too.
The last week of the Christmas hols was a lot of fun.
On Sunday the 28th we had another lovely lunch with the in-laws and the Grews. More pressies, more smiles and laughter, another walk, and loads more cameras clicking away.
On Monday the 29th we were offered some tickets to the Panto which we had initially ignored to go to for one reason or another, but thanks to someone dropping out we were able to go to 'Aladdin' starring Anna from 'Toonattic' fame and one of the grumpy old 'guvs' from 'The Bill'. The kids had a scream and it was nephew Isaac's first trip to the theatre. Let's hope it didn't put him off for life!
Tuesday the 30th was Jess and my 13th Wedding Anniversary which would have just passed us by but for a fun day spent with the Grews and a lot of Wii playing going on. Mark, feel free to pop down for some more Guitar Hero whenever you like - I know you liked it!
New Year's eve was a day spent shopping for Scout Winter camp which is this weekend in Essex, and a trip to Ikea for yet another CD/DVD rack. In the evening Jess and I just played on the Wii until 11:55pm, watched the fireworks on the telly (and out the front window) before heading to bed.
New Year's Day took us over to an extremely busy Wakehurst Place in Sussex for the obligatory New Year's Day walk. Chilly, but a lot of fun.
On Saturday it was time to get the house back into ship-shape and Bristol fashion, by returning the Crimbo decorations and tree back to their rightful places in the attic (or storage facility!).
We then had a wonderful evening at the Bradshaws to celebrate Andy's 40th. Lovely food, fantastic ginger ale (for me!) and a great feeling not worrying about what time to leave, seeing as the kids were having a sleepover at G'ma & G'pa's.
After a few hours sleep we were back to church on Sunday and a lovely Continental breakfast afterwards. It was our niece Imogen's 2nd birthday too and we had a nice tea with the Philpotts in the afternoon to bring the holidays to a lovely close.
So, a new year has arrived and I'm looking forward to it. First, it's Scout Winter camp this coming weekend under canvas - please pray for dry weather! Two weeks later Jess has her WWWW away with the ladies from church, so that evens that out.
Well, 'Film technique in fiction' beckons after a three week hiatus, and I'm not quite ready for it yet. But, hey ho! Happy New Year everyone.
