May in a nutshell - part 2

Dad Tait took a turn for the worse mid-May which meant an earlier-than-planned trip for Maynard back to N.I. to see the Tait clan - brothers, sil's, nieces, uncles and aunts - the works. Thankfully Dad made a relatively quick recovery and was only in hospital for 6 days. Needless to say Maynard came back with Tayto crisps, soda farls, wheaten bread and potato farls - YUM!
Half-term creeped up without much of a warning and a fun week has been had by all. We didn't take any pictures though until the last Saturday when we had a day at Knockhatch Adventure park - the kids seemed to enjoy it, though I didn't think it was up to much, but it wasn't for me anyway! The rest of the week was taken up with a trip to the park for football, frisbee and tennis; a wonderful picnic lunch followed by a family bike ride around Bewl Water; a trip to the cinema to see 'Bolt'; a morning at the swimming pool; games in the garden and street with friends; a shopping trip courtesy of Granny - thanks Mum!; another bike ride (without Jess this time) from Penshurst to Tonbridge and back; and of course, the trip to Knockhatch.
A blindin' week and no doubt the summer will roll around pretty quick too - only 6 and a half weeks to go. Here's to more barbies, cycle rides and fun with friends and family.
