Wow! The Tait family managed their first ever holiday away as a family of five. This was the first time ever we had time away from home that didn't include another other family members or a visit to family, and we had a wonderful time.
We rented a lovely converted cart shed on the border of the Peak District and the weather was great.
Here's a rundown of the week;
Sunday - Sudbury Hall and the Museum of Childhood.
Monday - A ramble along the River Dove, a walk around Buxton, and a visit to Poole's Cavern.
Tuesday - A visit to Kedleston Hall.
Wednesday - Churnet Valley Railway followed by a run around Biddulph Grange Gardens.
Thursday - ALTON TOWERS, BABY!!!!!
Friday - A day out in Bakewell.
Saturday - Calke Abbey (a stop off on the way home!).
