WOW! Yesterday, myself, Bill & Mark, drove up to Twickenham for a Help4Heroes charity rugby match which was to raise money towards the care of injured armed forces. This was my first time to Twickers and I had a blast! We just made it to our seats in time for kick-off and the atmosphere was friendly, relaxed and jovial. The sound of 52,000 people singing 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot' was amazing, and there were a few Mexican waves doing the rounds when the play slowed down a bit.
It was great to see some British greats take to the field like Dilly-lally-oh, Martins' Johnson & Offiah, and the still-fast-on-his-feet Jason Robinson; while the giant Jonah Lomu stood on the edge wearing a Beanie and a backpack.
It was all great fun and the beer and burger increased our enjoyment.
Thanks Bill, mate!
