Yesterday, myself, Bill and Nick had a wicked day on a Scout leader skills training day and we did all of the above. I'm particularly proud of scaling the full height of the climbing wall and then abseiling down the other side (a first for me!), but the ice wall climb was fantastic, even if it was only 20 feet high! But the best thing was, the tuck shop sold pick'n'mix and Double Decker bars for only 35p - what a bargain, especially when all the activities were free.
On Wednesday evening I took the Scouts sailing at Bewl water and they had a blast.
What with Bear Grylls now our Chief Scout, it is officially cool to be a scout AND a scout leader!!!

Wish I was a scout

Not only is Scouting 'officially cool', its completely fun. If you take what Maynard has said and add in the Navigation we had on our way there, plus the quick math used to decide how many bargain Double Deckers to buy, its also educational. Oh, and don't forget how Nick saved the economy by missing his rifle target completely, hence not having to waste paper!
